Calvin leaves a trail of compositions for people he meets along his amazing musical journey. Lynn “Chirps” Smith of Illinois, Montana fiddler Mike Williams and myself (Stuart Williams) were jamming at the Montana Old Time Fiddlers campout sometime back in the 1990s. Calvin put this one together inspired by the midwestern and northwestern tunes we were playing and honored us with the name. Phil and Vivian Williams taught that year as well, but missed the session.
